The project is a consortium of institutes and researchers from across the length and breadth of Europe: from Norway in the north, to Spain in the south, and from Ireland in the west, to Sweden in the east. Twelve European research institutes – led by the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science, based in Lowestoft, England (www.cefas.co.uk) – are involved directly in the eeliad project.
